Job summary

Acceleration Academies seeks a Student Advocate to build relationships with students and families, supporting enrollment, orientation, and ongoing engagement. The role emphasizes case management, attendance monitoring, and barrier removal to help students earn their high school diplomas.

Qualifications

• Associate degree preferred, but equivalent experience will be considered.
• 0–2 years of relevant experience in educational support or case management.
• Strong relationship-building, communication, adaptability and collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Assist with registration and enrollment for new students.
• Support during student orientation to set up success.
• Act as case manager for a cohort, monitoring attendance.
• Implement retention outreach and remove barriers to attendance.
• Identify root causes of disengagement and address them.
• Use technology tools to monitor daily attendance and records.
• Contribute to recruitment efforts to attract new students.
• Deliver one-on-one academic support and interventions.
• Collaborate with student support teams on learning paths.
• Participate in professional development and grow practices.
• Advocate for students with academy staff for support.
• Provide daily operational support and participate in meetings.
