Job summary

Acceleration Academies is hiring Student Advocates to support students pursuing their high school diploma through personalized, on-site programs across academy locations. The role emphasizes relationship-building, mentorship, and removing barriers to attendance and success.

Responsibilities include enrollment assistance, academic support, attendance monitoring, and collaboration with the student support team to track learning pathways and drive engagement. On-site presence is required.

Qualifications

• Associate degree preferred, but equivalent experience in education, youth mentorship, or case management will be considered.
• 0-2 years of relevant experience in educational support or student advocacy.
• Strong relationship-building, communication, adaptability and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with enrollment and registration processes for new students.
• Provide one-on-one academic support and interventions to help students progress.
• Maintain attendance records and monitor retention for a designated cohort.
• Engage in recruitment efforts and canvassing to attract new students.
• Collaborate with the student support team to track learning pathways and behavior.
• Advocate for students by connecting them with academy staff for support.
• Participate in daily operations and attend academy meetings and events.
