Job summary

Acceleration Academies is hiring Student Advocates to support students pursuing their high school diploma through personalized, on-site programs across academy locations. The role centers on building relationships, providing academic and non-academic support, and removing barriers to attendance and progress.

Ideal candidates have 0–2 years in educational support or related fields, excellent communication, and a passion for re-engaging students.

Qualifications

• Associate degree preferred; equivalent experience in education, youth mentorship, or case management will be considered.
• 0–2 years of relevant experience in educational support, case management, or working with at-risk youth.
• Strong relationship-building, excellent communication, adaptability, and ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
• Proficiency with learning management systems and educational technology tools.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the registration and enrollment process for new students.
• Provide comprehensive support during student orientation to set the stage for success.
• Maintain attendance and retention records, and perform proactive outreach to re-engage students.
• Deliver one-on-one academic support and interventions to aid student learning.
• Collaborate with the student support team to track learning pathways and behavior.
