Job summary

Rhode Island College's Office of Academic Advising seeks a Student Success Advisor to support undergraduate students through proactive outreach, individualized advising, and coordination of the re-enrollment process. The role includes managing a caseload and linking students with campus resources and departments.

The incumbent collaborates with faculty and staff to ensure coordinated support, contributes to orientation and retention initiatives, and helps students navigate academic requirements

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required; experience working with students preferred.
• Knowledge of advising practices and student development.
• Experience with college policies, curriculum, and campus resources.

Responsibilities

• Advise an identified cohort of students to ensure progress toward timely graduation.
• Coordinate re-enrollment for former students and connect to campus resources.
• Document and track student interactions in internal systems.
• Collaborate with faculty and offices to provide comprehensive advising support.
• Participate in orientation and ongoing trainings; support enrollment deadlines.
