Job summary

University of Rhode Island seeks an Assistant Dean for the College of Health Sciences - Student Affairs to oversee the Student Services division. The role coordinates undergraduate advising, evaluates transfer credits, and manages student records, petitions, and graduation processes.

You will work with Enrollment Services to update PeopleSoft functions, supervise CHS committees, and support recruitment events and student progress toward degree completion.

Qualifications

• Coordinate CHS undergraduate advising and support services to assist students and guardians.
• Evaluate transfer credits and place courses in degree requirements.
• Manage CHS student files and chair Scholastic Standing Committee.
• Address academic jeopardy, petitions, and graduation requirements.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate advising for CHS undergrads and liaison with support services.
• Evaluate transfer transcripts and determine course equivalencies.
• Supervise CHS student records updates and committee activities.
• Monitor academic standing and manage appeals and graduation checks.
• Utilize PeopleSoft for degree audits, modifications, and enrollment data.
• Oversee admission processes for CHS from University College.
• Support College Curriculum Committee and maintain curriculum records.
• Coordinate CHS recruitment activities and information sessions.
• Advise CHS Student Advisory Committee and oversee Living/Learning Community.
