Job summary

Qualifications

• Master’s degree from an accredited institution.
• Prior work experience working with students in a higher education setting related to advising, student support or student development.
• Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
• Strong organizational ability with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proficiency using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and other office technology.

Responsibilities

• Provide academic advising to an assigned caseload of students.
• Advise and monitor students regarding curriculum requirements, policies, and progress toward degree completion.
• Assist students with academic plans, personal, educational, and career goal development.
• Teach two sections of a First Year Seminar course per academic year or collaborate on curricula for FYS.
• Serve as the primary intervention contact at the college for Early Alerts and coordinate with faculty and staff.
