Job summary

Jobtailor seeks an experienced academic advisor to support on-campus and online undergraduate students, accelerated 4+1 program students, and online graduate students. You will guide students in evaluating options, degree requirements, and crafting academic, professional, and personal plans.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and five years of experience in the area of assignment/field or equivalent combination of experience and training

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group academic advising for on-campus and online undergraduate students, accelerated 4+1 program students, and online graduate students
• Guide students in evaluating academic options, understanding degree requirements, and developing academic, professional and personal plans
• Monitor academic progress using PeopleSoft, Salesforce, DARS, Analytics and other advising tools
• Identify concerns, resolve complex student issues, and connect students with appropriate resources
• Teach ASU 101-NU
• Represent the college at orientations, workshops, recruitment events and student success activities
• Coordinate 4+1 program recruitment, outreach, communications, admissions processes, progression tracking and pathway transitions
• Develop and maintain 4+1 program resources, marketing materials, documentation, advising guidance and training materials
• Lead onboarding for new advisors and provide recurring training for advising staff
• Prepare reports and documentation using dashboards and analytics to monitor student outcomes, program effectiveness and retention trends
• Build collaborative relationships with students, faculty, staff and leadership
• Analyze information, set priorities, resolve issues, communicate recommendations and manage escalations
• Work independently and as part of a structured team; deliver presentations to varied audiences
• Schedule appointments, maintain calendars, review completed tasks and adapt to changing priorities
• Perform other duties as assigned
