Job summary

California State University, Fullerton is seeking a Business Advisor (Student Services Professional II) to provide comprehensive academic advising and support for undergraduate students. You will collaborate with campus partners, develop retention campaigns, and promote inclusive student success practices while advancing degree attainment.

Ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's in a behavioral or related field, with strong communication and analytical skills, and completes background checks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in behavioral sciences, public administration, business administration or related field and two years’ professional experience.
• Master’s degree may substitute for one year of experience.
• Ability to advise students individually and in groups on complex student-related matters.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to work with diverse populations.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive, relational, and holistic academic advising to undergraduates.
• Promote a positive university experience and support in achieving CSUF’s student-success goals.
• Develop campaigns to increase retention and close equity gaps.
• Maintain student tracking and analytics to monitor outcomes and communicate results.
