Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree and at least 1 year of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

  • Advises students in assigned department/discipline and meets with them regularly to track progress.
  • Assists students with reviewing their Academic Advising Report and creating their My Educational Plan (MEP).
  • Advises students on course selection for degree programs and makes referrals to non-credit certificate programs; covers TSI regulations, prerequisites, and co-requisites.
  • Gathers and processes data regarding students to complete job functions.
  • Collaborates with staff to identify early interventions and develop academic support programming and events.
  • Refers students to counselors, college resources, and outside organizations when necessary.
  • Assists Directors/Managers in planning and developing successful academic programs and events.
  • Develops department objectives and strategies and maintains progress documentation.
  • Maintains accurate documentation of meetings and ensures compliance with policies.
  • Oversees processes and materials to ensure accuracy and compliance with rules.
