Job summary

Lone Star College is seeking a part-time Advisor II to be the first point of contact for students, guiding them in degree planning, course selection, and enrollment. The role involves advising on state regulations, coordinating transfer activities, and supporting student success across campus programs.

You will help students create and monitor My Educational Plans, collaborate with university partners, and assist with graduation processing while delivering strong customer service.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree plus 3+ years of relevant experience or equivalent.
• Strong communication and organizational abilities.
• Proficiency with standard office software and Windows OS.

Responsibilities

• Advise students on degree planning, requirements and course selection.
• Assist with enrollment, schedule building and transfer planning.
• Track student progress and prepare reports on retention and completion.
• Develop workshops and events to support student success.
• Coordinate with colleges on transfer events and dual enrollment where relevant.
• Assist international students with admissions and compliance as needed.
