Job summary

Qualifications

• Masters degree completed by July 1, 2025.
• Experience in academic advising in higher education preferred.
• Ability to establish rapport and maintain confidentiality.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; tact and diplomacy.
• Highly resourceful with ability to navigate university resources.
• Ability to work independently.
• 1–2 years of academic advising experience in higher education preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide academic advising services via in-person and/or virtual appointments to assigned freshman and sophomore students.
• Respond promptly to student inquiries received via email and phone.
• Operate autonomously while maintaining communication with the Associate Director of Advising.
• Demonstrate a strong commitment to student success by addressing academic needs.
