Job summary

Estrella Mountain Community College (EMCC) is seeking a Student Services Technician in the Financial Aid department. This role performs student service tasks and initial financial aid processing at the front desk, providing in-person assistance to students.

The position may serve as EMCC's Veterans Affairs Financial Aid liaison and has an expected end date of 6/30/2027. It is fully in-person, with schedules based on department needs and open hours.

Qualifications

• Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and one year of full-time equivalent clerical/administrative support experience.
• Preferred qualifications include customer service experience in a Financial Aid environment and ability to communicate regulations and guidelines.
• Experience using financial aid systems such as PeopleSoft or Banner is desired.
• Proficiency with general computer applications and relevant software is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Responds to student and parent requests at the Financial Aid Front Desk and routes inquiries as needed.
• Processes Financial Aid documents and distributes student information for aid Year starts and events.
• Supports training and administrative tasks, including reports, room reservations, and updates to FA websites.
