Job summary

Great Basin College is seeking a part-time Office Support Staff member to provide front office and testing support at the Winnemucca Center. The role includes proctoring exams, assisting students with basic computer use, answering phones, greeting visitors, and coordinating advising appointments.

Position is based at the Winnemucca location, runs August–December and January–May, up to 19 hours per week, with a $15 per hour salary. Non-benefits eligible, exempt status.

Qualifications

• Basic computer proficiency; experience with Microsoft Office and general office equipment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Proctor exams while maintaining the security and confidentiality of all testing materials.
• Provide excellent customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors.
• Assist students with basic computer usage and navigation.
• Answer phones and greet visitors.
• Accept forms and other documents.
• Schedule advising appointments.
• Direct students and visitors to the appropriate college departments and resources.
• Assist front office staff with daily operations.
• Operate general office equipment, including computers, printers, copiers, and scanners.
• Provide encouragement and positive support to students.
