North Idaho College in Coeur d'Alene seeks a Part-Time Testing Proctor to support the Testing Center by administering exams securely, organizing materials, and assisting students with clear instructions.
The role requires attention to detail, professionalism, and strong customer service. You’ll collaborate with the Testing Center Coordinator, maintain records, and ensure accommodations and procedures are followed, with a courteous, calm presence.
Help create a welcoming, organized, and supportive testingexperience for students. The Part-Time Testing Proctor worksclosely with the Testing Center Coordinator to ensure exams areadministered accurately, securely, and according to establishedprocedures. This position is an important point of contact forstudents and requires a balance of attention to detail,professionalism, and customer service.
Responsibilities include preparing and organizing testingmaterials, monitoring student testing reservations, and proctoringexams in a courteous and consistent manner. The position providesstudents with clear instructions, maintains secure testingprocedures and accurate records, and supports individual testingaccommodations for students with disabilities. The Testing Proctoralso responds to questions, manages testing materials andinformation, and works independently to keep testing sessionsrunning smoothly.
We’re looking for someone who is dependable, detail-oriented, andcomfortable working with students and other members of the collegecommunity. Strong communication and interpersonal skills areessential, along with the ability to explain procedures clearly,maintain confidentiality, and follow established protocolsconsistently. The ideal candidate can remain calm and professionalin a structured testing environment, use good judgment whenaddressing questions or unexpected situations, and manage multipleresponsibilities with minimal supervision. A positive,service-oriented approach and the ability to interact effectivelywith a wide range of students and community members are key tosuccess in this role.

An Associate’s degree and aminimum of one-year full-time related experience, or equivalentcombination of education and experience are required. Strongattention to detail, ability to direct groups of studentseffectively through precise testing procedures, and a positiveapproach to customer service is required.
