Job summary

The University of Texas at Austin is seeking a Student Associate for Advising Pod 5 at UT Main Campus. This role supports the Undergraduate Advising Office, handling phones, scheduling, data entry, and website assistance, while connecting students to campus resources.

The ideal candidate is a current UT Austin student with customer service experience, strong integrity, and the ability to take initiative. 19 hours weekly, $12 per hour, with training provided.

Qualifications

• Current UT Austin student enrolled for the current regular semester, in good academic standing (not on academic warning or academic dismissal).

Responsibilities

• Maintain and organize the front office space to welcome students, staff, and visitors.
• Apply UT Austin policies and procedures to daily interactions with student services.
• Respond to inquiries via phone, email, or in-person with accurate information and route complex questions to appropriate offices.
• Assist both new and returning students with general questions and guide them to campus resources.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
