Job summary

The University of Texas at Austin is seeking a Student Associate for the Fall 2026 term to support the Student Organization Center and the Art Center. You will be based on UT Main Campus, serving as a primary contact for student organizations and helping with workshops, registrations and daily operations.

Qualifications

• Must be an enrolled undergraduate student.
• Maintain a cumulative and semester GPA of 2.30 or above and be in good disciplinary standing with the University.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate day-to-day operations of the Student Organization Center (SOC) and the Art Center by managing room reservations, scheduling meetings and coordinating resources for student organizations, while serving as a primary point of contact and providing clear, accurate information about SOC services, policies and procedures through in-person, email and phone communication.
• Provide guidance to registered and sponsored student organizations by interpreting institutional policies, procedures and available campus resources.
• Support Longhorn Orientation by assisting with Student Organizations initiatives.
• Facilitate workshops and panel discussions, provide feedback to participants and support student leader development in areas such as officer transitions, organization management and sustainability.
• Serve as a peer coach to student organizations by facilitating consultations, providing guidance on leadership development, relaying relevant University policies and supporting organizational growth and team dynamics.
• Perform clerical duties such as filing, data entry and maintaining up-to-date records.
• Assist with student organization registration processes.
• Support student organizations in achieving their organizational goals.
• Other related duties as assigned.
