Job summary

The University of Pennsylvania is hiring a One Stop Student Service Counselor in the Division of Finance to support students and families in registration, billing, and financial aid using diverse software systems in the Mondre Family Student Service Center.

The role serves as a first point of contact, diagnosing needs, guiding students, and coordinating with university partners for timely resolutions. Expect ~40 hours weekly with peak cycles in summer and spring terms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science/Arts or equivalent with 2–3 years’ experience; required.
• Ability to navigate FERPA, Title IV, and state regulations with accuracy and ethics.
• Strong organizational, analytical, interpersonal, and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive student services support on registration, billing, financial aid, and related matters.
• Handle inquiries via in-person visits, phone, email, and virtual platforms; gather docs and assess requests.
• Interpret policies to determine resolutions and ensure compliance with FERPA and aid regulations.
• Document and track interactions using Salesforce, Banner, Zoom, Teams, and other university tech.
• Mentor work-study staff and participate in special projects to improve service delivery.
