Job summary

South Texas College is hiring a Centers for Learning Excellence Customer Service Clerk in the McAllen area to assist students and faculty with CLE resources. You will manage appointment scheduling, check out learning resources and software, and serve as a frontline CLE representative in person and online.

You will work with attendance tracking software (JagTrax) and Upswing, enforce printing and computer-use rules, and coordinate with CLE supervisors.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; College Certificate or 30 college hours preferred.
• Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Strong background in computers and office automation, including word processing, spreadsheets, database, Excel, PowerPoint and Windows knowledge.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Bilingual, English-Spanish, preferred.
• Ability to work evenings and/or weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates CLE lab operations and assists students and faculty with resources.
• Schedules appointments and checks out learning resources and software.
• Uses JagTrax and Upswing and supports supervisors with attendance tracking.
• Serves as CLE customer service representative in center and online as assigned.
• Enforces college printing and computer-use procedures and communicates discrepancies.
• Participates in required departmental training, workshops, and meetings.
