Job summary

South Texas College is seeking a Learning Excellence Specialist to oversee daily operations at the designated campus, plan and deliver training for CLE part-time staff, and assist with recruitment, scheduling, supervision, and evaluation of Student Learning Assistants and other part-time staff.

The role emphasizes supporting academic success initiatives, developing workshops, maintaining records, and traveling across campuses as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; fields listed preferred.
• At least nine months of experience with students in learning support (tutoring, supplemental instruction, teaching, online learning, advising/peer mentoring) required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with day-to-day operation of campus CLE.
• Assist with supervision and development of tutorial staff and other academic success initiatives.
• Assist with recruitment, scheduling, supervision, and evaluation of Student Learning Assistants and other part-time staff.
• Provide educational assistance in specific disciplines to improve understanding.
• Maintain records and CRLA training data for staff.
