Job summary

South Texas College seeks a friendly Customer Service Technician for the Centers for Learning Excellence (CLE). You will respond to inquiries, provide information, and assist students, employees, and community users with CLE spaces and programs.

You will manage the front desk, enforce printing and computer use policies, and support staff with scheduling, marketing, and data retrieval. Evening and weekend availability may be required to meet demand.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 months of customer service experience, preferably in higher education.
• Ability to work evenings and/or weekends as needed.
• Excellent oral and written communication in English; bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
• Strong computer skills with proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Provides a positive, friendly, and knowledgeable impression of the College; responds to inquiries and provides information to students, employees, and community users regarding CLE spaces and programs.
• Manages front reception area and serves as a customer service representative for the CLE in the center and online as assigned.
• Enforces college procedures for printing and computer use; communicates with CLE supervisors regarding discrepancies.
• Assists with attendance tracking and appointment scheduling software; supports in preparing packets and materials for staff as needed.
• Assists departmental staff with marketing and data retrieval.
