Job summary

ReNEW Schools at South Middle School in Idaho is seeking a dedicated School Security professional to help create a safe learning environment for students and staff. Under the principal's direction, you will implement safety protocols and monitor corridors to prevent incidents.

You will work closely with administrators, teachers, counselors and families to maintain order, supervise before/after school activities, and respond to emergencies with calm, decisive actions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Previous security experience preferred.
• Experience working with children preferred.
• Must be able to maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Works closely with Administration, Teachers, and Counselors.
• Sets appropriate boundaries with students and families.
• Provide positive reinforcement and feedback.
• Build relationships and provide stability for students.
• Mediate between students.
• Creates a safe learning environment.
• Encourage students to strive to meet their highest potential.
• Take all necessary precautions to protect students, equipment, materials, and facilities.
• Provide for the security and safety of students and staff.
• Assists with supervision before/after school.
