Job summary

Mesa Public Schools is seeking an on-site security assistant to support safety, behavior management, and de-escalation in school environments. You will observe, document behavior, and collaborate with staff to maintain a supportive and inclusive learning atmosphere.

• Preferred: prior work with students.
• Preferred: prior work in security.

Responsibilities

• Assist in non-crisis or physical intervention during de-escalation of students.
• Monitor, observe and document behavior of students in seclusion or reset room.
• May assist students with personal care needs due to medical conditions to ensure functioning in a school environment.
• Transfer and/or lift students to assist them in daily activities.
