Job summary

Reynoldsburg City School District is seeking a School Safety & Security Specialist to support a safe, secure learning environment across assigned school buildings. The role reports to the Director of Safety and Security and partners with building principals to maintain safety standards per district policies and Ohio law.

The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, strong communication, and the ability to work flexible hours aligned with school events.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a visible safety presence in assigned buildings and grounds.
• Monitor access at designated entry points during student arrivals.
• Interact positively with students to reinforce behavior expectations.
• Serve as a role model with professionalism and respectful conduct.
• Document incidents, observations, and investigations as directed; report conduct violations to the Principal.
• Assist in development, scheduling, and execution of safety drills and emergency procedures.
• Maintain knowledge of the building's Emergency Operations Plan (EOP).
• Collaborate with administrators and safety personnel to address safety concerns.
