Seattle University is seeking a Registration Representative in the Office of the Registrar to support registration processing and front-line service for the Seattle University community, including students, alumni, and staff. This full-time role operates in a hybrid model with regular campus hours.

Qualifications

• High school diploma plus two or more years of progressively responsible administrative office support experience in higher education.
• Ability to exercise professional judgment, to make informed and reasonable decisions based on experience, reason and policy, while considering issues of equity, fairness and historical precedent.
• Success working both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment.
• Familiarity with the academic, social and/or public sector, and a passion for equity & justice.
• A demonstrated ability to learn new software platforms.
• Demonstrated data entry and analytical skills.
• Proactive and results-oriented.
• Organized and detail-oriented.
• Strong professional communication skills, both written and verbal with diverse populations.

Responsibilities

• Process registration related petitions and forms, enroll students into individualized study courses, and manage post-deadline changes.
• Explain and execute university registration policies and procedures to students, faculty and staff.
• Process non-traditional registrations: alumni audits, elder audits, continuing education courses and deposits.
• Manage National Student Clearinghouse transcript requests that require manual processing.
• Provide back-up support to team members.
• Explain and clarify processes, policies and procedures at the Redhawk Service Center desk and by phone/email.
• Advise students on using the online registration system for academic records.
• Contribute to special projects and other duties as assigned.
