Job summary

Galen College of Nursing seeks a Registrar Service Specialist to provide friendly support to students, faculty, and staff while maintaining accurate academic records and enforcing policies. The role requires handling enrollment, transfers, waitlists, and scheduling with a strong emphasis on confidentiality and service quality.

You will engage with students to monitor attendance and progression, coordinate with campus teams, and support leadership with data reports.

Qualifications

• Two years’ experience in college or academic setting preferred.
• Knowledge or willingness to learn Ellucian Colleague and Canvas, Unitime, Verified Credentials.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality student service and safeguard confidentiality and accuracy of student records.
• Verify enrollment/admission requirements including background checks and test thresholds.
• Assist readmission processes and notify students of status changes (probation, dismissals).
• Coordinate with campus teams to meet student needs as assigned by the Registrar.
• Meet with students and monitor attendance and progression; document interactions in Ellucian Colleague.
• Assist with intake, transfer credits, prereq checks, waitlists, repeats, and scheduling changes.
• Support Academic Leadership with reports and analyses; coordinate with Student Success for student resources.
• Ensure compliance with policies per catalog/handbook; inform students of procedures and requirements.
• Support campus goals and track student interactions and placements; participate in campus events such as orientations and graduations.
