Job summary

Advocate Health in Charlotte, NC seeks an Radiologic Technologist to perform radiologic exams, follow department SOPs, and consult with radiologists as needed. You will select technical factors, operate equipment, and help maintain patient records while supporting laboratory specimen handling when ordered.

Requirements include High School Diploma or GED, AMA‑accredited Radiologic Technology program, ARRT registry or eligibility within 6 months, and BLS. Prior radiology experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• AMA approved Radiologic Technology Program completed.
• ARRT registry current or eligible within 6 months of hire.
• 1 year radiology experience preferred.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Performs radiologic exams as ordered by physician.
• Performs routine exams in accordance with department SOPs.
• Checks requisitions for physician notes and special instructions.
• Consults with Radiologist or physician as necessary.
• Selects proper technical factors on an individual patient basis.
• Operates equipment as directed by exam demands.
• Assists in maintaining patient records.
• Obtains specimens and performs certain diagnostic laboratory tests as ordered by physician.
• Prepares specimens for transport to Medical Center or State Lab.
