Job summary

The University of New Mexico is seeking a Customer Services Rep in Albuquerque for the Parking and Transportation Services. The role is student-facing, non-exempt, and hourly at $13.00/hr, based in Main - Albuquerque, NM, within the Parking Transportation Gen Admin unit.

Responsibilities include assisting customers, handling payments, supporting bike valet, and participating in outreach activities while working flexible shifts, including evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Must be a current University of New Mexico student enrolled in at least 6 credit hours.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and use sound judgment.
• Availability to work at least 4-hour shifts and to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Communicate parking, transportation, and bike valet information to customers.
• Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately and securely.
• Support Bike Valet program, including standing for extended periods (up to 4+ hours) and operating outdoors in all weather.
• Tag and retrieve bicycles efficiently and carefully.
• Assist with special events, including evenings and weekends.
• Staff Transportation Information Center in the SUB.
• Perform data entry and help maintain customer records and files.
• Participate in promotional and sustainability outreach activities.
• Complete other duties as assigned to support the department.

Preferred Qualifications	PreferredQualifications: Open availability during the week to work shifts of atleast 3-4 consecutive hours, Monday through Friday, between 7:00 AM and6:00 PM Preference given to those who can work Monday - Fridaymornings from 7:30am until noon A work-study award recipient Availability to work at least 20 hours per week Prior point of sale (cash & credit cards) andcustomer service experience Strong organization and time management skills Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions Comfortable with physical activity, including standingand moving for extended periods Must pass a pre-employment background check (requiredfor selected candidates)
