Job summary

Victoria College’s Advising, Counseling, & Support Services invites applications for a part-time Student Worker to support the Pirate Pantry for Fall 2026. The role involves assisting students, maintaining inventory, and ensuring a clean, welcoming pantry environment.

You will help connect students with additional support resources, answer inquiries by phone or in person, and uphold pantry policies while providing exceptional customer service.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in at least 6 credit hours in fall and spring (3 in summer).
• Must maintain 2.0 GPA minimum including developmental courses.
• English proficiency with strong written and oral communication.
• Friendly, professional attitude with good interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to meet timelines.
• Team player who is dependable, punctual and detail oriented.

Responsibilities

• Welcomes and assists students in visiting the Pirate Pantry ensuring a positive experience
• Understands and adheres to Pirate Pantry policy and procedures
• Communicates with visiting students about additional support services and resources available
• Assists students in-person or by phone as needed
• Maintains inventory on shelves by re-stocking when needed
• Assists with cleaning, organizing, and maintaining the pantry
• Keeps shelves and fridge/freezer cleaned, stocked, and organized with merchandise that are accessible and organized
• Assists with unloading and stocking merchandise for the pantry
• Perform all other duties as assigned by the Director of Advising & Counseling and Support Services Specialist
