Job summary

Iowa State University’s Ivy College of Business is seeking an Undergraduate Programs Specialist to support undergraduate student programs with a focus on new student orientation. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Experience coordinating or supporting student services, orientation, or programs.
• Experience using database systems or student information systems to manage records.
• Experience coordinating events and logistics with multiple participants.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate Ivy’s new student orientation logistics, including registration, check-in, advising schedules, materials, and room reservations; co-supervise Ivy’s orientation assistants.
• Manage orientation records, attendance, SIS updates, and reports to support accurate information and operations.
• Coordinate Open House during OnCyte Orientation and support Ivy's participation in Destination Iowa State and other programs and events.
• Collaborate with the Orientation Coordinator, faculty, staff, and campus partners to ensure a positive student and family experience.
• Serve as a front-line contact for students and visitors, coordinate appointments, and support advising staff.
• Co-supervise 8–9 student employees and manage scheduling, training, and daily operations.
• Develop and distribute communications for students and families and support materials, social media, and display screens.
