Job summary

Indiana University Bloomington seeks an Orientation Specialist to lead inclusive student programming enhancing academic engagement and experiential learning across diverse student populations. The role coordinates logistics, develops calendars, and partners with campus units to design impactful orientation experiences, while ensuring safety, effective communications, and smooth operations year-round.

Qualifications

• Requires Bachelor’s degree in education or related field.
• Preferred Master’s in higher education, student affairs, or related field.
• Must have 2 years in student services or higher education.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate Orientation logistics and operations with timelines and communications.
• Develop and maintain OTeam calendars and organizational tools for onboarding and training.
• Serve as primary liaison between Orientation leadership and the OEP events team for spaces and logistics.
• Manage Orientation check-in operations, materials, tech needs, and traffic flow.
• Provide backup support for office communications and advising during peak periods.
