Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital in Latrobe, PA is seeking a Student Nurse Tech (Future Registered Nurse) for per diem shifts. The role supports basic patient care under RN supervision and provides hands-on nursing experience aligned with NCLEX prerequisites.

You must be enrolled in an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN) and provide proof of the first year of fundamentals. BLS certification is required upon hire and compensation is $20.00 per hour with night/weekend differentials where applicable.

Qualifications

• Must be currently enrolled in an accredited nursing program.
• Proof of completion of the first year/fundamentals of nursing (or equivalent).
• BLS certification required upon hire.
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families and staff.

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal and daily patient care (bathing, oral hygiene, grooming).
• Assist with urinary catheter removal, finger-stick blood sugars, bladder scans, and specimen collection.
• Deliver meals and assist with feeding; document intake.
• Turn and position immobile patients; assist with mobility and transport within the facility.
