Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital in Wilmington, DE is seeking a Student Nurse Technician (Future Registered Nurse) for PRN/Per Night shifts. You must be enrolled in an accredited nursing program (ADN/BSN) and provide proof of completing the first year/fundamentals of nursing. The role includes vital signs, basic nursing tasks, and patient care under RN supervision.

Compensation is $24.00 per hour. BLS certification is required upon hire.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an accredited ADN or BSN program.
• Provide proof of completion of the first year/fundamentals of nursing.
• Knowledge of basic nursing techniques and aseptic practices.
• BLS certification required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Obtain vital signs, height, weight and demographic data.
• Assist with personal care, bathing, oral hygiene, shaving and hair care.
• Assist with urinary catheter removal, finger stick blood sugars, bladder scans.
• Deliver meals, feed patients unable to feed themselves, and document intake.
• Turn and reposition immobile patients and participate in mobility program.
• Transport patients to designated areas as needed.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians and staff.
