Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital Richmond is seeking a Student Nurse Technician (Future Registered Nurse) in Richmond, VA, for the per diem day shift. The role requires current enrollment in an accredited nursing program and proof of completion of the first year or fundamentals of nursing.

Qualifications

• Current enrollment in an accredited nursing school (ADN or BSN) and proof of completion of first year/fundamentals.

Responsibilities

• Obtain vital signs, height, weight and demographic data.
• Assist patients with personal daily care (bathing, oral hygiene, shaving, hair care).
• Assist with catheter removal, finger sticks, bladder scans, urine/stool collection, ostomy care and drainage.
• Remove peripheral IVs as directed by RN.
• Deliver meals and document oral intake; assist feeding as needed.
• Turn and position immobile patients; assist with mobility program.
• Transport patients to designated areas and treatment centers.
