Job summary

Red Rocks Community College is seeking an IDEA Lab Assistant to help manage and coordinate projects in the IDEA Lab, a campus makerspace where faculty and students innovate, create, and build community.

The role supports RRCC students in creating and prototyping, monitors lab check-in/check-out, and helps ensure safety protocols are followed. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Lakewood Campus, with up to 20 hours/week during term and more during breaks.

Qualifications

• Must be an RRCC student enrolled at least half-time (6 credit hours).
• Work-study eligibility preferred; position may be student hourly.
• Experience or coursework in design, fabrication, or makerspace activities preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with managing and coordinating projects in the IDEA Lab.
• Monitor check-in/check-out procedures and ensure safety protocols.
• Lead tours of the IDEA Lab and support prototype design and build projects.
• Organize and lead multidisciplinary projects to engage the RRCC community.
