Job summary

Glendale Community College seeks a technical instructional support specialist for its VR laboratory, makerspace, and immersive learning environments. Under supervision, you will reinforce instructor guidance, assist students and instructors with VR systems, 3D printers, laser cutters, CNC machines, and related technologies, and help maintain a safe, organized lab space.

You will also coordinate equipment check‑in/check‑out, support software and lab platforms, and keep records while collaborating

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or equivalent from an accredited college or university.
• Two (2) years of experience supporting instruction, laboratory operations, or technical environments involving VR, immersive technologies, makerspace, fabrication, or similar hands‑on learning environments.
• Experience related to the assigned department or program may be required.

Responsibilities

• Assist students in VR lab, makerspace, and related instructional settings, using established procedures and protocols.
• Reinforce instruction and guide students in using VR systems, design platforms, fabrication equipment, and related technologies.
