Job summary

Community College of Aurora is seeking an Innovation Lab Assistant for the CentreTech Campus in Aurora. This work-study role supports STEM initiatives, helps monitor the Innovation Lab, and assists with hands-on workshops designed to teach soldering, CAD, coding, 3-D printing, and laser cutting to a diverse audience.

The position offers opportunities to learn new skills and engage students in STEM activities while supporting the Coordinator of STEM Initiatives and campus programs.

Responsibilities

• Track and monitor the use of the Innovation Lab.
• Assist with planning, development, and hosting Innovation Lab workshops and outreach events.
• Maintain Innovation Lab spaces and conduct inventory management of supplies and equipment.
• Meet and support CCA students interested in STEM; answer questions about resources, programs, and workshops.
• Support the Coordinator of STEM Initiatives with general tasks.
