Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in social sciences, business, or related field and 1 year of experience with young adults and adults in situations requiring supervisory techniques and basic management involving social activities.
• Understanding of, sensitivity to and respect for diverse backgrounds of Peralta Colleges’ students, faculty, staff and community.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate college-wide student activities such as welcome events, commencement and social, cultural and recreational activities.
• Coordinate the Office of Student Activities and its services, including issuance of student ID cards and lost and found services.
• Coordinate, support and advise student groups, organizations and advisors through leadership, organizational and resource development.
• Develop and monitor the Associated Students annual budget, monitor bank records and work with the AS Treasurer.
• Recruit new faculty sponsors for student clubs.
• Assist in advising Associated Students’ board meetings and planning trainings and campus-wide events.
