Responsibilities include managing budgets, facilitating college-wide events, supporting student groups, and collaborating with administrators and the broader community to promote student involvement and success.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in social sciences, business, or related field with at least 1 year of experience working with young adults or in student activities.
  • Understanding of diverse backgrounds of Peralta Colleges' students, faculty, staff, and community.
  • Desirable experience leading staff and working with adult students in higher education.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate college-wide student activities such as welcome events, commencement and social, cultural and recreational activities.
  • Coordinate the Office of Student Activities and its services, including issuance of student ID cards and lost and found services.
  • Coordinate the management of finances for Associated Students.
  • Coordinate, support and advise student groups, organizations and advisors through leadership, organizational and resource development.
  • Collaborate in establishing student activity program goals and objectives.
  • Contribute to the awareness of the student/college presence in the local community by connecting student activities to community events.
  • Attend student meetings, associated students' events, and conferences related to the operation of Associated Students and other student related programs.
