Job summary

Howard University is seeking a Program Coordinator of Student Life Operations within the Office of Student Life. You will support student organizations, coordinate events, and foster engagement across campus.

Responsibilities include advising student groups, managing life operations, fundraising, parent engagement, and overseeing Anthology ENGAGE. Flexibility for evenings/weekends is expected as programs require. Supervisory duties are limited to student staff.

Qualifications

• Strong organizational and leadership skills.
• Ability to develop and implement effective student engagement strategies.
• Experience coordinating events and managing platforms.

Responsibilities

• Provide advisement to registered student organizations and support leadership development.
• Manage student life operations, including registration, events, and risk management.
• Develop fundraising strategies and secure resources for programs.
• Oversee the Parent Portal content and engagement opportunities.
• Administer and optimize the student engagement platform Anthology - ENGAGE.
• Plan and publish the Howard University Yearbook in collaboration with editors and partners.
• Enforce university policies and code of conduct.
• Maintain schedule Monday–Friday 9:00–5:30 and support events evenings/weekends.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Executive Director of Student Life.
