Job summary

The University of Chicago Booth School of Business is seeking an Assistant Director, Student Life, Working Professionals to oversee program operations and provide direct student support for Evening/Weekend and EMBA populations. The role collaborates with student-facing staff and Booth partners to ensure operational excellence during class weeks at Gleacher Center.

Responsibilities include budgeting, event logistics, schedule coordination, and coordination with London and Hong Kong teams.

Qualifications

  • Minimum requirements include a college or university degree in related field.
  • 2-5 years of work experience in a related job discipline.
  • Experience in a higher education setting is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborates with student-facing teams to strategize and identify program opportunities to enhance student experience and engagement.
  • Partners with Working Professionals Student Life team by supporting student requests and solving needs.
  • Coordinates with London and Hong Kong program teams and facilitates necessary committees.
  • Plans and manages faculty and student engagement activities, such as Faculty Social Hours.
  • Manages student communications and updates through the school’s digital platforms.
  • Oversees the operating budget for multiple student group accounts and operation budgets.
  • Supports EMBA class weekend experiences, including catering and logistics.
  • Manages textbooks purchases and distribution for EMBA students.
  • Manages Booth Groups, the event registration system for student clubs and Student Life.
  • Assists with event logistics, materials, follow-up, metrics and process improvements.
  • Works with Booth Accounting on contract submissions, negotiations and payments.
  • Manages TA payments and evaluations with Booth HR.
