Job summary

Ivy Tech Community College of Indiana is seeking a Student Life Assistant to support Student Life programs, events, and student engagement across multiple locations in Indiana. You will assist with event planning, materials creation, and campus communications, while maintaining the IvyLife portal and supporting student organizations.

The role emphasizes teamwork, strong communication, and independent work during a flexible academic schedule.

Qualifications

• Must be currently enrolled in Ivy Tech with 12 credits and enrolled for a minimum of 6 credits.
• Strong public and interpersonal communication and ability to work collaboratively as a team player.
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently with little supervision and meet deadlines.
• Experience in event planning, organization, marketing, or visual communication is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning, marketing, and facilitation of student life events, meetings, and conferences including facility reservations and set-up, vendor arrangements, catering arrangements, audio-visual requests, reservation lists, attendance tracking.
• Create Student Life printed and electronic materials and maintain campus bulletin boards and postings in all buildings.
• Assume Presidential role of the Campus Activities Board at Fort Wayne and Vice presidential role at Kosciusko County campuses, including leading meetings and coordinating activities.
• Maintain IvyLife student life portal, including event creation and marketing posts.
• Provide ongoing administrative support for student organizations, regarding startup, registration, tracking, training, and travel.
• Answer telephone and greet visitors, transmit requested information, record messages, and route information to appropriate personnel; manage calendars and support on-campus and virtual meetings.
