Job summary

Nashville State Community College is seeking a Temporary – Student Life Associate to help create a welcoming student experience and support program offerings across campus.

You will greet students, issue photo IDs, manage inventory, assist with events, and coordinate with the Director of Student Life. This role requires excellent communication and the ability to work some evenings and weekends during term starts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or educational equivalent.
• Ability to work a minimum of 12 hours per week.
• Ability to work some evenings and weekends, particularly at the beginning of academic terms and at other times to support student enrollment and department events.

Responsibilities

• Creates student photo IDs, manages and orders photo ID supplies and troubleshoots photo ID technology as needed.
• Greets and directs students in person and over the phone. Manages inventory of office materials.
• Monitors the department email inbox, answering questions and forwarding messages as necessary.
• Maintains an organized and welcoming environment for students inside the Student Life suite.
• Supports Director of Student Life in College programming initiatives and takes ownership of programs when appropriate.
• Assists with a variety of special projects and reports, including supporting other offices and campus-wide events.
