Job summary

Great Basin College in Elko, NV seeks a Student Life Coordinator to develop and implement a comprehensive engagement program that supports student success, belonging, leadership, and connection across all locations and online.

You will advise the Student Government Association, supervise student staff, manage budgets, coordinate signature events, and partner with faculty and community partners to promote a vibrant campus life across Nevada.

Qualifications

Associate degree in Education, Communications, Business, or related field.
Bachelor or Master in Higher Education, Student Affairs, Educational Leadership, Counseling, or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

Coordinate educational, cultural, social, civic, recreational, wellness, and community programming.
Ensure engagement across campuses and modalities for diverse student populations.
Advise SGA and develop student leadership through training and events.
Support student organizations through recognition, coaching, and events.
Coordinate signature events and campus traditions (Welcome Week, etc.).
Collaborate with faculty, staff, and partners to promote Student Life via social media and newsletters.
Oversee engagement initiatives across GBC locations and manage resources.
