Job summary

The University of Texas at Austin is seeking a Coordinator of Student Organizations within Student Life on the UT Main Campus. The role supports development of student leaders, fosters involvement, and ensures compliance with university policies while coordinating space requests and events.

Responsibilities include coaching student groups, managing space reservations, event consultations, and program assessment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and experience developing, administering, and implementing programs for college students.
• Experience advising student groups and collaborating with students, faculty, administration, and external stakeholders.
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills including presentations, written correspondence, and reports.
• Attention to detail. Equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted.

Responsibilities

• Actively participate and support the Student Organizations team by providing coaching and assistance to student organizations in organization management, program planning, leadership development, risk management, and policies.
• Oversee and manage indoor space reservations for student organizations and departments, serving as the technology liaison for the reservation system and ensuring policy compliance.
• Conduct event consultations for indoor and outdoor student organization events, coordinating with campus partners on logistics and referrals.
• Lead planning and assessment of area programs, and build tools to measure event and program impact.
