Job summary

Washington State University seeks a Student Leadership and Connection Advisor to guide clubs, the Student Activities Board, and the ASWSUV Election Board. The role includes developing leadership, overseeing budgets, and implementing policies across student organizations.

Professional Position Details: The Opportunity: As the Student Leadership and Connection Advisor, you will be responsible for the advising, mentoring and leadership development of clubs, the Student Activities Board and the ASWSUV Election Board. Additional supervision opportunities available. In this position, you will be responsible for providing individual and organization leadership development, administrative oversight of student organization and event budgets, implementation of policies and procedures, and you will support student life. Additionally, you will plan and implement large scale programs and represent OSI on campus-wide committees.

This is a full time (100% FTE), permanent position. This position is overtime eligible.

Monthly Salary: $4,050.92 - $4,443 Monthly | Commensurate with experience and qualifications. In accordance with RCW 49.58.110, the above salary reflects the full salary range for this position. Individual placement within the range is based on the candidate’s current experience, education, skills, and abilities related to the position.

Required Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s degree and two (2) years of professional work experience in student services or related education/experience.
• A Master’s degree in a related field may substitute for one (1) year of professional work experience.
• Any combination of relevant education and professional experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in Higher Education, Student Affairs, Counseling, Leadership Studies, or a related field.
• Experience supervising student employees, peer educators, or student leadership teams.
• Knowledge of student organization policies, student conduct processes, and risk management practices in a university environment.
• Experience using leadership competency frameworks, student learning outcomes, or co-curricular assessment methods.
