Position Details:
The International Admissions Prospect Coordinator is responsible for performing specialized technical/clerical duties in support of the Office of International Programs Admissions and Recruitment unit. Under general supervision of the Assistant Director this individual will provide students, staff, and program participants as well as the public with information and interpretation of policies and activities related to the programs specialty. The individual will compose written communications, establish and maintain records relating to the day-to-day operation of the admissions and recruitment unit. The incumbent will work closely with the Assistant Director for International Admissions Processing and Evaluation to assist prospective international students with educational opportunities and to understand and to successfully complete Washington State University’s application requirements. Primary responsibility will be to manage the inquiry, application start and submission/completion stage of the admissions funnel, as well as supporting the evaluation and admission offer stage. The incumbent must have cross-cultural sensitivities that allow clear communication with international applicants, current international students, and other stakeholders. The individual will evaluate international first-year, transfer, non-degree and former student undergraduate admission applications, and Academic English (ESL) admissions applications. The International Admissions Prospect Coordinator reviews international academic documents in order to make appropriate admission decisions for all international applicants.
Additional Information: This is a full time (100% FTE), permanent position. This position is overtime eligible.
Monthly Salary: $3,750.85 - $3,838.00 | Commensurate with experience and qualifications In accordance with RCW 49.58.110, the above salary reflects the full salary range for this position. Individual placement within the range is based on the candidate’s current experience, education, skills, and abilities related to the position.
