Job summary

Proviso Township High Schools District 209 is seeking a Student Fellowship Sponsor at Proviso West High School. The sponsor will organize, supervise, and promote a student organization in alignment with district mission and policies.

The role includes mentoring students, serving as a liaison among students, staff, and administration, and ensuring a safe, engaging extracurricular experience. This stipend position is non-tenure and contingent upon funding and enrollment.

• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Demonstrated leadership abilities in school settings.
• Ability to work with students, staff, and administration.

Responsibilities

• Supervise club activities, meetings, events, and practices for student safety.
• Ensure off-campus activities follow district procedures and required permissions.
• Act as mandated reporter under Illinois law and complete training.
• Provide leadership and feedback to develop students’ skills.
• Coordinate logistics and facility usage for safe events.
• Maintain open communication with students, staff, and parents.
