Job summary

Proviso Township High Schools seeks a Class Sponsor at Proviso West High School. This non-tenure, extra-duty role is to organize and supervise a student club, mentor students, and promote a safe, inclusive extracurricular experience.

The sponsor reports to the Director of Athletics and Activities and to building leadership; compensation is a stipend per the collective bargaining agreement. Responsibilities include supervising activities, obtaining approvals, and maintaining compliance with

Responsibilities

Provide supervision for club-related activities, ensuring student safety and compliance with policies.
Ensure off-campus activities are approved and transportation arrangements are compliant.
Comply with mandated reporting obligations under Illinois law and Board policy.
Define expectations and provide constructive feedback to support student development.
Coordinate logistics and facility usage for events and activities.
Communicate expectations and maintain professional communication with stakeholders.
