Job summary

The University at Buffalo is seeking a Program Coordinator for the Startup CoLab to design, develop, and deliver innovative programming for UB students. Reporting to the Associate Director, you will lead the creation and facilitation of a diverse portfolio of programs and workshops that cultivate innovation mindsets and practical skills across the student body.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in education, instructional design, communication, or a related field with a minimum of two years of experience.
• Demonstrated proficiency in instructional design principles, curriculum development, or program design.
• Strong presentation and facilitation skills, with experience leading workshops, training sessions, or programming for diverse audiences.
• Excellent organizational skills and time management; ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and meet deadlines.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to produce clear program materials, reports, and correspondence.
• Demonstrated interpersonal and relationship-building skills; ability to work collaboratively with students, staff, faculty, and external partners.
• Project management skills; ability to plan, coordinate, and deliver programs from concept to completion.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and digital collaboration tools.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a small, dynamic team. Commitment to inclusive excellence and the ability to design programs that are accessible and welcoming to all students.

Responsibilities

• Designing and developing engaging, outcomes-driven programs and workshops for all UB students.
• Applying instructional design principles to create accessible, inclusive, and high-impact learning experiences.
• Facilitating programs, workshops, and events that build innovation mindsets and skills.
• Conceiving and executing communications to raise awareness of CoLab programs across campus and in the broader alumni and business community.
• Planning and coordinating events that attract prospective participants and provide networking opportunities.
• Coordinating cross-campus partnerships to broaden program reach and deepen impact.
• Assessing program effectiveness and iterating based on data and student feedback.
