Job summary

Richmond Public Schools seeks a Student Information Application Administrator in Technology Services to oversee data extraction, transfers, and loads to third‑party vendors, coordinating with instructional and administrative staff to support student achievement.

Responsibilities include supervising the SIS Service Desk, liaising between academic and technical teams, maintaining system security, and ensuring end‑of‑year rollovers and GPA calculations for secondary schools.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related discipline, or an equivalent blend.
• Minimum three years managing student information systems or instructional data systems.
• Experience supporting PowerSchool SIS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides guidance and supervision to the SIS Service Desk agents as well as the technical trainer.
• Serves as the liaison between academic and technical areas.
• Monitors assigned systems to ensure they are operating normally and take action when necessary to meet defined SLA’s and keep the systems stable.
• Coordinates activities with business process owners and acts as a liaison with instruction and technical staff.
• Performs end-of-year rollover processes, GPA and honor roll calculations for secondary schools, importing student and staff data, and providing Tier II user support.
